It is a preferred substrate under brick, stone, stucco, siding and EIFS due to its ability to protect a structure against incidental moisture during and after construction. DensGlass Sheathing adds performance and durability to a wide range of fire-rated and non-fire-rated building assemblies.
ToughRock® is a versatile gypsum sheathing substrate for residential and commercial applications. 1/2″ ToughRock® Gypsum Sheathing and 5/8” ToughRock® Fireguard X® Sheathing are recommended for use in new building construction or renovation work that is covered by an exterior finish cladding such as vinyl/fiber cement siding, masonry veneer or wire lath stucco.1 It is designed for direct mechanical attachment to wood or steel framing.
